25 Aug Evolution of Macpherson
Don Sr., always knew he wanted to make his mark in the oil industry. In 1959, he left Pauley Petroleum to start an innovative oil production business with his son. He and Don built Macpherson from the ground up into one of the largest private oil producers in California. In recent years, however, our state’s energy landscape has changed, with a priority on developing renewable energy throughout the state. Since then, Macpherson has pioneered a new meaning for an energy company by diversifying our energy production portfolio to include innovative renewable technologies.
As we continue to expand and diversify our operations we are announcing that all our public branding will reflect our identity as Macpherson Energy Corporation.
This change doesn’t represent a move from oil. Our operations are thriving, We couldn’t be more proud of our operations and of the men and women who continue to maximize production day in and day out. Rather, the name Macpherson Energy Corporation, effectively portrays the work we’re doing to explore new energy options, expand our operations, andcreate new jobs. Our values remain the same:
- We continue to empower and invest in our employees to find innovative solutions and best practices to address energy challenges now and into the future.
- We are proud members of the Bakersfield community and uphold our responsibility to be good neighbors and operate with honesty and respect for the people of Kern County and the land on which we operate.
- We uphold the family values and legacy of hard work and excellence that our company was built on, and our employees have preserved to this day.
Nineteen years ago we established Macpherson Energy Corporation. Since that time, we have grown to include affiliated companies Macpherson Green Power, Macpherson Power, Macpherson Land and MEC Solar. As we enter the second half of this year, we’re excited to share this news with you all. Our website will be getting a new look very soon that solidifies our identity as Macpherson Energy Corporation.
